Kailasa Los Angeles Nithyanandeshwara Hindu Temple was inaugurated on November 9th, 2007 after its importance was revealed directly by Sadashiva to SPH JGM HDH Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam in a vision. The Los Angeles temple is a punya kshetra and theertha sthala for all seekers world over. SPH JGM HDH Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam has revealed that it will be known for Superconscious Evolution and Power Manifestation. The Los Angeles temple embodies the fire energy just like Arunachala, and is called Arunachala of the West. Just like Arunachala, anyone who remembers LA temple will attain moksha (smaranath mukti).
All deities have been installed directly by and received prana prathishta from Swamiji himself. Prana prathishtha is the Vedic science of infusing life energy into the deities. Once that process is complete, the devatas become living, breathing entities that radiate super conscious energy
The presiding deity of the temple, Sri Nithyanandeshwara Paramashiva Linga, is an exact replica of Sri Arunachaleshwara, the presiding deity of the Arunachaleshwara temple located at the base of Arunachala hill in the town of Thiruvannamalai in Tamil Nadu, India. At 4’ height and 4’ wide, it is the largest Shiva Linga in North America.
The temple is run like an authentic South Indian Shaivite temple, observing the rituals laid out in the Shiva Agamas. It houses more than 40 deities of Hindu Gods and Goddesses. All major Hindu festivals are celebrated at the temple. Devotees and visitors can request pujas and other Hindu religious services here.
This is a fully volunteer run temple, with all religious ceremonies and temple upkeep being performed by a group of dedicated volunteers and devotees of SPH JGM HDH Bhagawan Nithyananda Paramashivam.
